TREE  foot stompin' folk

TREE...we're not your average band. Traditional Irish & bluegrass, old-time fiddle tunes, celtic rock, folk, and cajun music have all influenced the lively sound of TREE. We play and enjoy a wide variety of music and perform at a wide variety of venues. Our music has been called "foot-stompin" and "folk on adrenaline."  So no, we don't really play any ballads or slow songs....well, maybe one or two :-)   Get ready to tap your toes and kick up your heels!

If you like Celtic rock, we cover many songs by bands such as Flogging Molly, the Glengarry Bhoys, Gaelic Storm and the Prodigals.  If you like traditional Irish music, we play several of our own arrangements of jigs, reels and traditional tunes.  Throw in a few standard bluegrass tunes like Cripple Creek and Mountain Dew, some favorite old-time fiddle tunes like Sugarbaby and Danville Girl, and you have foot-stompin' good time!

TREE consists of MATT HARNETT on vocals and acoustic guitar, his wife JEN HARNETT on fiddle and concertina, and CHRIS KLYM on drums.  The three of us have been playing in the Johnstown area since November, 2007.  Prior to that, Matt and Jen played with the original TREE, which they formed some three years earlier.  Wayne MacEwan also joins us at many gigs with his washboard.
